I cannot believe it is the second week of December, and we have only two weeks until Christmas Eve. Great googly moogly! Luckily, I have most of my shopping completed and my decorations are up. The reason the time is flying is due to the fun and exciting events that have been taking place. This last weekend, for instance, was my baby shower in San Antonio. My mom flew into Austin on Friday and I picked her up while my sister was at work. Oh, that is being way too nice, I picked her up because my sister stabbed her car on those retractable guard gates in front of the State Capitol. (Sorry to sell you out, Kate, but you know you will never live this one down). Anyway, the three of us drove down to San Antonio on Saturday morning to join my in-laws at what turned out to be one of the best baby showers I have ever been to, and I am not simply saying that because I got to keep all the presents. It was at a beautiful restaurant, the food was fantasitc (enchilads, my fav!), and the company was wonderful. My aunt and cousin and her boys got to join us, and we had a lovely afternoon. I send a big thank you to my Guerra family. They really out-did themselves. Emme is going to be one spoiled little girl, and I don't care!
Thanksgiving has come and gone, and I dropped the ball on blogging about our trip to Lubbock. I can nicely sum up the long weekend in a few words: Eat, sleep, football, 6 dogs. My mom cooked a great meal, the Aggies dissapointed us yet again this season, the couch had a permanent indentation of my rear, and we had 4 dogs wrestling inside and two dogs lounging outside. It was exactly what I needed before the hussel and bussel of December. (Crazed chef below)

Last but not least, today I had my 28 week doctor appointment. I am now officially in my 3rd trimester! Everything checked out perfectly and I got to hear her heartbeat again, which is my favorite part of the appointment. When you hear that heartbeat all of a sudden the sciatic nerve pain, swollen feet, heartburn, heatstrokes, expanding body parts, etc. seem so trivial. I would endure ten times these annoyances to have a healthy, happy little girl. Until next time.
